Aerobed Inflatable Air Mattresses - Quick Guide FAQs

We get a variety of questions on the Aerobed inflatable air mattresses we sell and thought we could take a few moments to shed some light on some of the benefits of the Aerobed specifically as well as answer a few of questions that we have encountered while selling them. This product continues to impress us personally as well as our customers from the feedback we receive and thought we could provide a quick guide to help with your air mattress buying decision.

From our experience selling the product as well as owning one ourselves for 5 years there is no other air mattress we would buy or use. There are many other sellers that advertise an air mattress and many times unless you read close it seems like it is an Aerobed but make sure you are getting the Aerobed brand. All Aerobeds we sell have a one year manufacturer warranty which we are quite impressed with especially since it is an inflatable product, that alone shows us their confidence in the quality of their product. Now don't go slicing the mattress when you are opening the box, the warranty only covers any manufacturer defect so it is not for the inadvertent cut but that is why they include a repair kit so you are still ok ;)

More On The Aerobed:

All the beds are very durable, each comes with the pump attached (no need to buy), generally have a carry bag and repair kit and the set up is quick and fool proof. Many of the beds will also have a mattress cover and dust ruffle -- the cover is for the mattress itself and a ruffle to cover the bottom portion of the bed (on raised models) and both are nice additions. The aerobed comes in twin, full, queen and king sizes but also offers a variety of "toppers" to the top portion of the mattress to provide additional comfort. We sell a regular top (classic), pillowtop and a cushion top and have received fantastic feedback on all. I personally have had a full classic for years and with just a mattress cover and have been very happy so the topper choice is a personal preference and I don't think you can really go wrong with any of them...



Aerobed offers two different heighths depending on your preference and who will be using the bed. A standard size aerobed will sit right on the ground or on top of a box spring and fills in about one minute, this works great and is less costly. It also seems to be a better alternative for those people who move around a lot in their sleep, younger children and people who are using this as a regular mattress replacement. The Raised Aerobed fills in about three minutes and sits about the heighth of a standard bed, we have found this is more popular with people who may have a little more difficulty getting up and down off the floor. These also have stabilizer bars so there is little problem with the bed making dramatic movements while sleeping and it gives a solid feel to the aerobed.

We many times get questions about the pump and if it is attached, recessed and so on. The recessed pump is one that sits internally so that the mattress looks like a standard mattress. This is the best for standard sheets but I have had no problem with our unit that has the external pump so it may be more of an issue again for total mattress replacement or where it must be pressed up against a wall.
