The Fabricator 251 is in the same class of machines as the Miller Electric Millermatic 251 and the Lincoln PowerMig 255C. They all have outputs in the 30-250 range but the real numbers when buying a machine is its duty cycle. The Miller and Lincoln both show their duty cycles to be 40% @ 250 amps. The Thermal arc is 50% @ 250 amps and it comes with other features that both Miller and Lincolns machines dont. It has Spot & Stitch Timer built in and also an Adjustable Burnback Control, and it has a Trigger Hold Switch for long welds.
